Clifton Farm House was built in the 1850's on the top of the
hill, half a mile above the holiday village of Westward Ho! made
famous by Kingsley's book of the same name, and just 5 minutes
stroll from the beautiful Kipling Tors leading down onto the
south west coastal path.
The farm itself is long gone as have the original sea views
enjoyed from the fields behind which have, in recent years been
sold and built upon. Nevertheless the house retains all the
charm and character of a traditional working farmhouse. Forming
one side of a walled courtyard, it still shares its setting with
a stone barn and the once farm yard now offers secure off-road
parking for our guests.
Our beautiful generous bedrooms are either en-suite or with a
private, adjacent bathroom and have plenty of storage for the
longest of stays. Whilst being bright and airy they retain a
cosy feel!
All have central heating and are equipped with a generous
courtesy tray, radio alarm clock, hair dryer and Freeview,
digital television
with DVD/CD player.
(We can even supply you with a few DVDs for those wet, windy
afternoons!)
The drawing room and conservatory are there for your enjoyment
complete with a large selection of books, magazines, local maps,
as well as other pastimes. You are welcome to spend your holiday
relaxing and coming and going as you like.
